About

Tristan Eason

Founder & Principal Architect · Tampa, Florida

Vida Tigris is me. It has been from the start.

When people ask what I do, I tell them I help businesses make better use of the internet. It typically starts with the website, and expands from there.

It started with rescue work. An outdoor products manufacturer had a website migration go sideways and their business was effectively offline. I got it back up. Then a craft distillery whose domain, website, and email were not talking to each other. Then more.

These days most of my clients are here in Tampa. Law offices, a car wash, a wine shop, a pilates studio, property managers, a real estate team. People who are very good at what they do and want their website to say so without them having to.

I build the websites, get them found, set up the measurement so you know what is working, and more and more, build AI systems that take repetitive work off people’s plates.

Continuity

What if I get hit by a bus?

Fair question to ask any one-person shop. Here is the honest answer, in four parts.

  1. The site is yours

Once a website is paid for, you own it outright, copyrights included. I keep portfolio rights and that is it.

  2. Nothing is held hostage

Your domain, hosting, and accounts are documented, and you can have the keys whenever you ask for them.

  3. Built so someone else could pick it up

I build on standard, well-supported tools. If I disappeared tomorrow, a competent developer could take over without starting from scratch.

  4. You reach me

There is no account manager in between. When you reach out, the person reading it is the person doing the work.

The name

Vida, Spanish for life. Tigris, Latin for tiger. Put together it means tiger life, at face value. The tiger is my spirit animal. But there is always more to the story.

Tigris is also the river in modern-day Iraq that bears its name, believed in Biblical times to have flowed from the Garden of Eden. The Garden is the symbol for all things being right and in balance. Another way to think of it is the good life. What that looks like is different for everyone, but the idea is the same: you are free to live your life in balance. Moving toward the Garden and staying in it is the Vida in Vida Tigris. Life on the Tigris.

The keyhole is the next opportunity, the one you peek through to see what is beyond. You keep looking through it until it stops being a keyhole and becomes where you are, and then you start looking for the next one. The empty center stands for the unknown, the great mystery that is the source of all things. That part comes from Taoism.
